Awesome Wells
Awesome Wells AKA Johnathan Palmer, who hails from Brighton via Nottingham in England, merges just about everything from traditional folk to 2-step grooves. No songs sound alike due to Awesome’s extensive use of equipment and unrecognisable samples, not to mention he’s a vocal-layering and off-beat genius too.
If Awesome was to pull his songs apart, he could open his very own Dawsons, of second-hand stolen goods. From a Jew’s harp from Venice to mandolins once owned by mandalayan fortune tellers, you name it, he’s got it. Selling them however seems unlikely due to the release of his mini album with remixes which will be given away free with the website. Awesome’s sound is as captivating and warm as his collection of scenic photo albums, expect to a selection of piano clunking, loop-sampling excellence.
